MY FITNESS & NUTRITIONFITNESS
I believe physical fitness is important to maintaining a healthy mind & body. I run around after & keep up with my 3 year old on a daily basis, but on top of that, I try to workout at least 4-5 days a week. I do my best to make it to a Hot Vinyasa Yoga class at least 1 or 2 of those days. Yoga creates balance for me and has become one of my favorite ways to center myself, stay grounded & allows me an hour of time just for me. I also love to lift, run (on the treadmill and at the outdoor track), and I still practice Muay Thai with my husband when time allows. When the whether is nice, we are outside as much as possible.NUTRITION
I make a point to eat organic whenever possible and whole foods such as fruits, vegetables, nuts & seeds. I purchase meat that is grass-fed, organic & hormone/antibiotic free. Due to the nutritional depletion in our soil & food sources, I supplement with organic superfoods & also made the decision to work with Isagenix in October 2013. I believe supplements are necessary in providing my body with the vitamins, minerals and enzymes that I cannot get through my daily diet. I did a lot of research and stand behind the company’s nutritional integrity, and I trust them to provide me my body with what it needs but might not be getting from my diet. In my household, we also stay away from ingredients we cannot read, and problematic chemicals/additives and carcinogens such as Aspartame, MSG, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Carrageenan, Sucralose, dyes, artificial flavors/colors, parabens, sulfates, and other similar items.
